Bayir is situated high up in the hills surrounding Orhaniye, and is well worth the drive just for the spectacular views of the Peninsula from the top and also the fertile, hidden valleys on the way. Bayir is close to our luxury stone villas.
It is famous for an old, large tree, that supposedly brings luck if you walk around it three times. The village can therefore get a bit touristy in the Summer, but the scenic drive up and around the village makes it a worthwhile place to pass through.
Bayir has some spectacular scenery, surrounded by forests and fertile valleys full of fields that are worked by the locals. Bayir makes a good place to have lunch or pass the time taking tea in the famous square which the old tree dominates. Nearby are luxury villas for rent.
When you are exploring the Bozburun Peninsula by car you can make a lovely tour from Orhaniye to Bayir, to Sogut. Alternatively you can travel from Bayir to Osmaniye and then onto Icmeler where you meet the sea.

The nearest airport to Bayir is Dalaman, which is about two hours transfer by car. Next nearest is Bodrum, which is about a further 30 minutes away by car. The nearest large city to Bayir is bustling Marmaris, which has great shopping and some of the liveliest night night in the whole of Turkey.
